At the age of fifteen Chef Kardos began cooking in professional kitchens. Upon graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in 2000 he began working in top restaurants and hotels in NYC. In 2002 he returned to Connecticut where he was born, and shortly thereafter began working under a talented young chef by the name of Bill Taibe.
Kardos, under Chef Taibes tutelage went on to become the sous chef at Taibes restaurant Relish Food and Wine, and later his chef de cuisine at Napa & Co. in Stamford Ct.
In 2009 Daniel took his current position as the chef at Harvest Supper in New Canaan Ct. Harvest Supper is owned by NYC restaurant impresarios Jack and Grace Lamb of Jewel Bako, Jacks Luxury Oyster Bar, and Degustation fame. In his brief time at Harvest Supper, Daniel has had the pleasure of hosting a dinner at The James Beard House, and hosting events at local Ct farms. Harvest Supper has also received one of the highest food ratings in the state from Zagat, as well as winning an editors pick from Moffley Publications.
At just 29 years old Daniel is well on his way to establishing himself as one of the most well respected young chefs in Fairfield County due to his simple use of quality ingredients, and refined, yet whimsical cooking style.
